About Us

CYBERTEX MISSION STATEMENT:

“The mission of CyberTex is to provide individuals with workplace skills that qualify them for initial employment in the workforce and/or career advancement after employment in medical, healthcare, information technology, and trades fields.”

CYBERTEX VISION STATEMENT:

CyberTex Institute of Technology offers short-term training programs in the Information Technology, Medical, Healthcare, and Trades fields. We are a student-centric institute that equips students with workplace skills for initial employment, paving the way for desired and financially stable careers. Our goal is to empower our students, including veterans, to make a meaningful contribution to themselves, their families, and their community.

With flexible timings and small-sized classes, we offer placement assistance, accept most of the veterans’ education benefits, and offer financial aid to those who qualify. It’s pure joy when our graduates get on the career ladder that grants them financial independence and job satisfaction.

CYBERTEX’S PROGRAMS AND CAREER TRAINING

In addition to our hands-on classroom training, students are also provided job placement assistance with essential career planning including externships. We also build and maintain relationships with companies in the Austin and Killeen areas for the benefit of our students. Thus, we tend to our students’ expectations and ensure our commitment to their success.

CYBERTEX HISTORY

CyberTex’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Iqbal Sheikh, founded the CyberTex Institute of Technology in 2000 with a vision to provide career training to those who aspire for a change at any stage of their lives. Mr. Iqbal Sheikh has a diversified career in financial, technical, and journalism over 40 years in Pakistan and the USA. In addition, he has served with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Pakistan. Through this opportunity, Mr. Sheikh was able to study the latest trends in International Trade and current and future trends in Industry and Technology.

CyberTex Inc. owns CyberTex Institute of Technology and started operations in November 1999 at 5555 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. CyberTex initially focused on corporate training and was the Dell™ preferred vendor. Then in early 2001, CyberTex opened its doors to the general public. In June of that same year, the first students were in attendance, and the first class graduated in August 2001.

In April 2008, CyberTex expanded its operations and opened a Branch Campus in Killeen, Texas. As a result, we had our first batch of students enrolled in the same month who soon graduated in July 2008.

CyberTex is fully licensed by the Texas Workforce Commission, accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE), approved by the Department of Education, and approved for Title IV Funding. CyberTex offers both short-term and long-term programs in information technology, medical, healthcare, and construction trades fields. We plan to add more courses and programs to provide students and graduates with multiple options for high-demand career pathways with a commitment to student success and an eye to the future.

TESTIMONIALS

Stories from our Graduates

I decided to join the Marines to get away from the ghetto I was raised in. I serve for 17 then was medically retired. I pursue school to better myself for my wife and kids and show them that you are never too old to learn and grow. The staff is always helpful and Sean and Mr.Ivon are very knowledgeable of the craft and they make learning fun and interesting. They are the reason why I have a few certifications. I believe if you come here wanting to learn you will and that’s due to the teachers so coming here is helping me tremendously, I should be able with the help of career services to land a great position and start my next career.

Jamar Knight, Network Engineer Program, Killeen Campus

This school has taught me so many things and I have met so many new people. I’m so excited to start my career.

Klevelin Leon, Medical Assistant Program, Austin Campus

I joined the Army in 2014 at 28 years to give me a head start in life and to help my mother pay for school. I served 4 years active duty and I’m currently serving in the Army reserves as a specialist. I’ve always wanted to expand my horizons and do something out of my comfort zone so I decided to enroll in the medical assistant program and hopefully become a physician’s assistant later on. I was so skeptical about it at first but Mrs. Alisha, Mrs. Tina, Mrs. A, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Tillman, just everybody, ALL OF THE STAFF has motivated me in some way shape or form. Thanks to CyberTex my confidence is that much greater.

Ladaija Praylow, Medical Assistant Program, Killeen Campus

You don’t know how terrified I was my first day. Doubting myself, not knowing if I had what it took to become a Medical Assistant. But from day my instructors saw potential where I saw none. Their high hopes for me to succeed gave me the discipline, the drive and the determination to study hard and gave me the knowledge to be successful. Thank you, thank you for believing in me.
