Why Should I Apply for a Scholarship?

Receiving financial assistance can often be a significant factor in attending any program. Financial aid or assistance can come in many commonly accepted forms such as loans, work-study programs, grants, employer compensation – and for the purpose of this section – scholarships. The primary reason you should apply for a scholarship is simple. If you win a scholarship award, unlike loans, you won’t have to pay it back!

High School Graduate Scholarship

• Description: High School Graduate Scholarships are available for individuals who have graduated from high school with a diploma or who have obtained a GED.  Recognizing the growing number of students who are struggling to get any funding for an advanced education, CyberTex Institute of Technology is offering to assist these individuals by offering scholarships, as well as assistance with job placement within the field of their choosing.
• Amount of Scholarship: $500-$5000
• Who can apply:  Any individual with a high school diploma or a GED living within the Austin or Killeen city limits, or the surrounding areas is eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Single Parent Scholarship

• Description: Single Parent Scholarships are available for those who individuals who are part of a single-parent family and have graduated from high school with a diploma or who have obtained a GED.  CyberTex Institute of Technology understands the stress and financial constraints of being a single parent, and is willing to offer a scholarship for single parents looking for an advanced education, as well as assistance in job placement within the field of their advanced education.
• Amount of Scholarship: $500-$5000
• Who can apply: Any single parent with a high school diploma or a GED who lives within the Austin or Killeen city limits, or the surrounding areas is eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Hispanic Heritage Scholarship

• Description: Hispanic Heritage Scholarships are available for those who individuals who are of Hispanic heritage and have graduated from high school with a diploma or who have obtained a GED.  CyberTex Institute of Technology understands diversity in the workplace and is offering this scholarship for individuals of Hispanic heritage looking to lead in their current career or get started in a new career path, as well as assistance in job placement within the field of their advanced education.
• Amount of Scholarship: $500-$5000
• Who can apply: Any individual of Hispanic heritage with a high school diploma or a GED who lives within the Austin or Killeen city limits, or the surrounding areas is eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Military Spouse Scholarship

• Description: Military Spouse Scholarships are available for those military spouses who have graduated from high school with a diploma or who have obtained a GED.  CyberTex Institute of Technology understands the hardships of being a military spouse and is offering this scholarship for educational advancement in their current career or to get started in a new career path with the necessary certifications needed to better contribute to their family’s financial security.
• Amount of Scholarship: $250-$2500
• Who can apply: Any spouse of a qualified active duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired veteran of a U.S. military service branch who lives within the Austin or Killeen city limits, or the surrounding areas is eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Hardship Scholarship

• Description: Hardship Scholarships are available for those individuals who currently cannot afford to pay for advanced education due to financial difficulties and who have graduated from high school with a diploma or who have obtained a GED.  CyberTex Institute of Technology understands the difficulties of paying for advanced education with limited financial means.  CyberTex Institute of Technology is offering this scholarship to assist these individuals with educational advancement in their current career or to get started in a new career path with the necessary certifications needed to better contribute to their family’s financial security.
• Amount of Scholarship: $500-$5000
• Who can apply: Any individual who lives within the Austin or Killeen city limits, or the surrounding areas is eligible to apply for this scholarship..

Certified Nurse Aide Scholarship

• Description: Certified Nurse Aide Scholarships are available for those individuals who are certified nurse aides and who have graduated from high school with a diploma or who have obtained a GED.  CyberTex Institute of Technology is offering this scholarship to assist these individuals to get started in a new career path with the necessary certifications needed to better contribute to their family’s financial security.
• Amount of Scholarship: $500-$2500
• Who can apply: Any individual who is a certified nurse aide and lives within the Austin or Killeen city limits, or the surrounding areas is eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Minority Scholarship

• Description: Minority scholarships are available for all minority groups that live within the Austin or Killeen city limits. This scholarship is to invoke all minorities to reach for an advanced education and career goals for a brighter future. Some minority groups that are eligible to receive this scholarship include:
  • African American
  • Hispanic
  • Native American
  • Asian
  • Women

• Amount of Scholarship: $500-$2500
• Who can apply: Any minority who has obtained a high school degree or GED, and is living within the Austin or Killeen city limits, or its surrounding area.
